dotData is looking for a skilled and experienced Technical Writer to play a key role in explaining our feature discovery product to our customers in a clear, concise, and usable manner. You will work closely with our product engineers to ensure that our product documentation is accurate, accessible, and compelling.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and maintain technical documentation for our feature discovery platform. This includes installation guides, user guides, tutorials, and API references.
• Understand and explain complex information about our product in a way that is easy to understand and use for customers.
• Collaborate closely with product manager, developers, and customer support personnel to ensure product documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and updated as necessary.
• Conduct user research to understand the challenges and gaps in the current documentation.
• Develop diagrams, flowcharts, screenshots, and other visual aids to help explain complex concepts and workflows.
• Review product documentation for quality assurance purposes.

Requirements

1. Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably with a focus on software or technology products.
2. Excellent written communication skills in English.
3. Understanding of Machine Learning concepts and workflows.
4. Ability to understand complex software systems and technical concepts.
5. Familiarity with documentation tools and software like Sphinx or Git is a plus.
6. Familiarity with the Python programming language is a plus.
7. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
9. A positive, problem-solving attitude.
